Turning 30 i decided to make a few changes on my Health.

I have been over in Manchester for over four years i came here to study and over those four years i had fallen into the student life trap, i stopped playing football was doing no exercise, eating junk food, smoking and the occasional night out!!!

So my first step was to take a Health Test i noticed my local Pharmacy (Prestwich Pharmacy) were offering these services so i decided to call in and was seen straight away no appointments needed just as well i probably would have bottled out.

So i had the test which took no more than 15minutes and it only required small pin prick of blood and some information on my lifestyle. I had recieved my results and boy was i shocked my Cholesterol and Blood Pressure was quite high wasn't expecting this result as i am not overweight and felt healthy. So Sally who took my test reassured me that small changes in my lifestyle can make such a difference so we disscused my eating pattern again just small changes such as brown instead of white bread, not so much salt and to cut down on the burgers, pizza's etc to eat more wisely was the message. Try and do some exercise a week which i am now going to the gym twice a week to cut down on the cigarettes which i have and hope to stop completley.

I know by sticking to the advice Sally gave me will only benefit me in later years and i would like to take this opportunity to thank Sally and the staff at Prestwich Pharmacy who are professional, extremely nice and very understanding and would advice the People of Prestwich to make the most of this service being offered by Prestwich Pharmacy.
